In a recent post on Virginia’s OSHA Law News, Josh Johnson outlines some helpful tips for how to deal with an inspection when the Occupation Safety and Health Administration inspectors come calling.

First, he says it’s important to wait for the designated person or persons from your company to arrive and guide the inspector through the walk-through, says Johnson. He says OSHA representatives are normally willing to wait “a reasonable amount of time” in a lobby or company trailer for the person to arrive, and that this happens quite often. However, if the situation involves an accident or imminent danger of one, they will not be as lenient, he warns.
