General counsel to chief executive officer? It just happened in Sweden. According to Kate Beioley at TheLawyer.com, the Swedish music rights organization Svenska Tonsättares Internationella Musikbyrå (STIM) has promoted GC Helena Woodcock to acting CEO after the resignation of top exec Kenth Muldin.

“I very much look forward to my assignment as STIM acting CEO. STIM former CEO Kenth Muldin was the mastermind behind the strategic development that helped [position] STIM as one of the world’s leading CMOs,” Woodcock said in a statement. Muldin stepped down earlier this month—and, much like Woodcock, before becoming the CEO of STIM he was the chief legal officer and deputy CEO.
