Anyone who has ever had a problem with clogged pipes or plumbing knows how inconvenient and often costly it can be. ABC News is reporting a New York dentist is seeking class status for a federal suit against the makers of Cottonelle and Costco-brand “flushable” wipes, alleging they caused major plumbing and clogging issues in his home.

As attorney Aditi Mukherji explains in an entry on FindLaw’s Injured blog, the report says Dr. Joseph Kurtz is arguing the wipes’ makers should have known that the products’ “flushable” claims were false and misleading.
