Social media has raised all types of legal issues, including those pertaining to jurors often tempted to tweet, Facebook, Friend or simply see what others are saying about a case during the selection process and/or the trial itself.
Brian Wassom, a partner at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, says allegations of social media misuse among jurors are rampant, with courts trying different strategies to help mitigate the problem.
