Cybercriminals steal more than money or information; they steal customers’ peace of mind, said Ellen Richey, chief enterprise risk officer and chief legal officer at Visa Inc., as she outlined changes that will affect the future for consumers and companies.

Richey and Peter Beshar, general counsel of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., were among witnesses testifying March 26 at a Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation hearing on “protecting personal consumer information from cyberattacks and data breaches.”
