Bullying isn’t just a problem in schools. A new report conducted by Gary Namie at the Workplace Bullying Institute has found a whopping 27 percent of Americans have or are suffering abusive conduct at work.

In an online survey of 1,000 adults in January of this year, Namie found that 7 percent are currently experiencing abusive conduct at work, which translates to 9,817,420 people in the labor force. What’s even scarier is that 20 percent of workers have experienced such conduct in the past, translating to more than 27 million people coming into contact with the negative behavior at work. If you add that to the 28,708,791 people witnessing the bullying, it totals more than 65.6 million workers affected by bullying—or almost twice the population of Canada.
