When it comes to e-discovery, most companies know they have to archive all their electronic communications. But as Richard Weiner explains on Akron Legal News, only a small percentage of businesses include social media in their archives.

Weiner says according to some recent studies, most major corporations have at least a half dozen Facebook accounts—some companies operate as many as 200—and 90 percent have Twitter accounts. Social media is increasingly being used as evidence, so companies need to be able to produce the data if asked to, Weiner says.
