Tesla Motors Inc. said Thursday it will make its patented technology freely available to other automakers, part of an effort to encourage further innovation in the electric car market.
“Tesla will not initiate patent lawsuits against anyone who, in good faith, wants to use our technology,” company founder and CEO Elon Musk said in a blog post.
