Digital transaction management company DocuSign Inc. announced it’s hiring Reginald “Reggie” Davis, former general counsel and executive vice president of corporate and business affairs at Zynga Inc., as its new general counsel. Davis will report to chairman and CEO Keith Krach; DocuSign’s current general counsel and vice president of legal and corporate affairs, Ken Moyle, will move into the role of chief policy officer.

Davis is an experienced legal hand in Silicon Valley. In 2009, he joined Zynga, when the then-2-year-old company was on the verge of releasing one of its signature games, FarmVille. In his four years at Zynga, Davis managed the company’s growth from 114 employees to more than 3,600; successfully completed 48 acquisitions that expanded the company to 32 offices worldwide; led the filing of more than 650 patent applications; and handled the legal side of one of Silicon Valley’s largest initial public offerings in 2011. Davis was named San Francisco’s general counsel of the year by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2012.
