In the wake of last week’s Senate panel hearing on General Motors Co.’s deadly ignition-switch problems, which blistered the company’s legal department and its leader, several critics are questioning the decision not to replace general counsel Michael Millikin. But at least one notable lawyer is questioning the critics.
Dale Buss, who writes about the auto industry for Forbes, was critical of GM chief executive Mary Barra for staunchly defending Millikin at the hearing when one senator asked why the GC wasn’t fired along with several other senior lawyers.
