The prospect of venturing into the depths of the Canadian prairies in the middle of winter isn’t too alluring, but SaskPower’s general counsel Rachelle Verret Morphy doesn’t let a little snow bother her. According to Sheldon Gordon of Canadian Lawyer magazine, Morphy ventures from the Crown corporation’s headquarters on a two-and-a-half-hour trek each month to meet with the engineering team building the world’s first commercial-scale operation power plant capturing CO2 emissions.
“We feel it’s important as an executive to be on site as much as possible to give support to the team,” she told the magazine. “Being able to see the result of the paperwork that was done early on is humbling.”
