Comcast Corp. has cast Mitch Rose, an outside lobbyist for the company, as the new face of NBCUniversal Inc.’s government relations operations in Washington, D.C.

Rose, who has lobbied for Comcast since 2006, will serve as the senior vice president of government affairs for the media giant’s NBCUniversal subsidiary, the company announced Friday. After leaving The Walt Disney Co. as a senior lobbyist in 2006, Rose founded Mitch Rose Strategic Consulting, where his lobbying clients included Cox Enterprises Inc., the National Cable and Telecommunications Association and the Recording Industry Association of America, in addition to Comcast, according to congressional records.
