There are more ways of communicating to do business today than ever before. There are online audio and video chats, instant messaging and email, plus good old-fashioned phones, pens and paper. It’s also easier to communicate and complete transactions across borders.

This all adds up to more challenges for companies trying to navigate investigation and enforcement under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Although the potential obstacles involved with pulling the right data from myriad sources of communication might seem daunting, there are ways to overcome them, according to Peter Ostrega, senior director at Huron Legal.
