Every news outlet, from CNN to The Daily Show, has been paying attention to President Barack Obama’s surprisingly productive trip to China this week. But while the president was in Beijing working to protect the environment, James Andrews at Food Safety News wrote about another American official who was there working with the Chinese on the safety of the food supply.
Michael Taylor, the deputy commissioner for foods and veterinary medicine at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, gave a speech at the China International Food Safety and Quality Conference and Expo, titled “Food Safety in a Global Environment: Based on a Common Culture of Prevention and Verification.”
