Money isn’t everything, sure, but offering a good salary is one of the best ways to attract the kind of talent that will help legal departments excel. So, how much does it cost to hire a new corporate counsel in today’s market? Robert Half Legal’s 2015 Salary Guide has some good news for qualified lawyers looking for an in-house gig.
The average starting salary for an in-house attorney in the U.S. is projected to increase about 3 percent from 2014 to 2015. This is on par with the report’s calculation for legal professionals overall, and a little lower than the 3.4 percent jump that firm attorneys will see in their starting salaries.
