The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has turned to Capitol Hill for a general counsel, tapping Charles Yi, a former senior congressional staffer.

Yi most recently served as the staff director and chief counsel to the Senate Banking Committee under former Chairman Tim Johnson, D-S.D., who retired this year. He replaced Richard Osterman, who was acting general counsel and is serving once again as deputy general counsel of the FDIC Legal Division, the agency announced Thursday.
