President Barack Obama issued an executive order intended to facilitate cybersecurity information sharing between public and private sectors and help bring companies the liability protection they want to exchange cyberthreat details.
The directive, which Obama signed at the White House Summit on Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection in California on Friday, creates the framework for “Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations,” which are hubs for cyberthreat info exchanges that the president described last month as part of his plans to improve cybersecurity.
