Between growing regulatory enforcement and the expanding influence of digital media, ethics and compliance mistakes made by companies are more likely to become publicized and prompt legal problems. It means that the jobs of in-house legal and compliance departments are getting more complex and more important.
The significance of ethics and compliance was center stage at the 7th annual Global Ethics Summit, hosted by Ethisphere and Thomson Reuters. The event, held in New York City from March 10-11, brought together E&C experts from a wide range of companies to talk about ethical problems for U.S. businesses and some possible solutions.
