NEC Energy Solutions, which develops and manufactures advanced battery products, is recharging its legal department. Deborah Collum has been appointed as general counsel, where she has been hired not only to manage the company’s daily legal operations, but also provide counsel in corporate strategic development.
“The energy industry is changing quickly, and the legal and regulatory barriers to innovation can be daunting,” said Bud Collins, the company’s chief executive officer, in a statement. “Her combination of skills will help us move our business forward to better meet emerging and future demands within the energy industry.”
