In a case of intrigue that may show up any day now on a “CSI: Cyber” TV show, federal prosecutors Monday charged two Chinese professors who had worked at U.S. tech companies with economic espionage and theft of trade secrets to benefit China.
Federal agents arrested Hao Zhang, now a professor at Tianjin University in China, on May 16 when he arrived at Los Angeles International airport. Prosecutors then unsealed the 32-count indictment, which charges Zhang, another professor and four of their colleagues in China.
