San Francisco will begin to enforce its Retail Workers Bill of Rights on July 3—just in time for the big Independence Day holiday. As the city’s employers implement new policies and scheduling practices to comply, businesses across the county are facing the passage of similar laws on state and local levels that would penalize employers for not providing advance notice of schedules and schedule changes.
