If it’s August, we at Corporate Counsel central are looking at charts. There’s the big one of the top 100 highest-paid lawyers of the Fortune 100. Well, okay, the top 100 who are among the top five highest-compensated execs at those companies, if you want to get picky. We have breakdowns—how much are women paid versus their male counterparts? Which industry pays its legal chiefs the most? Who got the biggest bonus?

All of these factoids, and many more, would be interesting all by themselves. And everyone’s always interested in how much other people get paid, even if they’re loath to reveal their own compensation packages.
