Good news, Pinocchio: the National Labor Relations Board has sanctioned lying, at least in certain circumstances. According to John Hauge of Felhaber Larson, a recent NLRB decision demonstrates that sometimes workplace dishonesty is OK.

In the case, an employee with a history of dishonesty was questioned by his managers on multiple occasions about a work-related injury. The employer wrongly denied his request for union representation during the conversations, and then fired the worker. The employee and the union then filed an unfair labor practice charge and won.
