Bitcoin’s lawyer is heading to Pillsbury. Patrick Murck, the former executive director and general counsel of the Bitcoin Foundation, who Corporate Counsel digitally sat down with last April, is headed to Pillsbury’s Washington, DC office as special counsel in the corporate and securities, technology practice section. Murck is also a fellow with Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society, where he researches law and policy implications of the digital currency.

“The digital currency and blockchain industry owes a great deal to Patrick Murck,” said Marco Santori, Pillsbury’s digital currency and blockchain focus team leader. “He was among the first lawyers called upon by world governments to speak on digital currency technology, and his thinking continues to be some of the most influential among the industry.”
