Doug Luftman, who as chief intellectual property counsel and vice president of innovation services for NetApp Inc. aggressively fought lawsuits filed by nonpracticing entities and became a strong proponent of technology to manage IP strategy, has been named general counsel and chief innovation officer at the IP management and analytics company Lecorpio.
The experienced IP attorney, who started his new job Monday, says he was very happy at NetApp and is proud of what he was able to accomplish there. But moving to Lecorpio will enable him to do even more, he says.
