It’s a sweet, or should we say salty, deal for Compass Minerals. The salt producer has appointed Diana Toman as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She begins Nov. 3 and will direct the organization’s legal affairs, including corporate governance, merger and acquisition activity, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, environmental law, corporate compliance, intellectual property, labor and employment, and other matters.
“Diana brings a deep understanding of global business challenges and regulatory requirements to Compass Minerals,” said Fran Malecha, the chief executive officer, in prepared remarks. “Her expertise in corporate governance, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions is a great fit for the company and our long-term strategy.”
