It’s a whole lot of pasta and breadsticks for Matt Broad. He’s been appointed senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Darden Restaurants. The Florida-headquartered company owns and operates more than 1,500 restaurants, including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and Bahama Breeze. Broad will be responsible for all legal affairs, including corporate governance, labor and employment, litigation and regulatory compliance.
“Matt is an analytical business leader with an impressive breadth of experience,” said chief executive officer Gene Lee in prepared remarks. “We’re excited to have him join us as a member of the executive leadership team, as his deep understanding of corporate law will help shape the future growth of Darden.”
