Ethisphere focuses on defining and measuring corporate integrity. It publishes a quarterly magazine, and host a variety of events around the world where global business executives share best practices and discuss trends and challenges in ethics, compliance and governance, and the correlation of strong business practices to company performance. The company has an extensive network of member companies that actively participate in these activities, and conducts services that help companies benchmark their programs. In addition, Ethisphere publicly recognizes excellent programs, certifies programs after in-depth reviews, and offers culture assessments. The company turns 10 this year. Corporate Counsel reached out to Tim Erblich, the company’s CEO, to see what’s new in ethics and compliance and to discuss trends he has seen over the last decade.
Ryan McConnell: Tim, Ethisphere has built a strong brand with the World’s Most Ethical Companies and magazine—I particularly enjoyed last quarter’s CEO issue. What are some of the trends you have seen in ethics and compliance over the last 10 years? Any big changes?
