The life sciences and diagnostics company Agilent Technologies announced on Wednesday that it’s promoted Michael Tang to senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. He takes over for Marie Oh Huber, who left to become eBay Inc.’s general counsel.

“Mike is a brilliant, highly experienced attorney who also has a deep understanding of Agilent’s business and future direction,” said Mike McMullen, Agilent president and chief executive officer, in a statement. “I am delighted to have him lead our legal function as we take Agilent into the future.”
