EMCOR Group Inc., a Fortune 500 engineering and construction company, has its next general counsel. Maxine Lum Mauricio, the company’s deputy general counsel, is succeeding Sheldon Cammaker, a 28-year veteran of the Norwalk, Connecticut-based firm who’s been named vice chairman.

Mauricio joined EMCOR in 2002 and has been deputy general counsel since 2012. According to her company profile, she advises EMCOR on general corporate matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities laws. She also works with its senior executives to manage risk and liability and ensures regulatory, legal and corporate compliance.
