Many believe that, along with religion and money, politics is a topic unfit for discussion at dinner parties. One would think the same rules apply in the workplace, but political talk in the office is inevitable, especially with this year’s presidential campaigns in full swing.
Although companies don’t have much leeway to control the speech of employees who ”Feel the Bern” or want to “Make America Great Again,” HR and Legal do have to watch out for political discussions that cross the line into harassing or discriminatory.
