The Retail Litigation Center (RLC) had its busiest year yet in 2015. The latest annual report released Tuesday revealed that the legal center attached to the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) has expanded its impact since it was established five years ago, with significant growth this past year in particular.

RLC submitted 21 briefs in 20 cases in state and federal court in 2015, involving such retail giants as Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Macy’s Inc. and Nestle S.A., among others. That total is in line with the two prior years, when RLC submitted 20 total briefs each year. But it’s up drastically from its beginning years when it filed two briefs in 2010, its inaugural year, and four briefs in 2011.
