Lawyers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries have had their hands full fighting challenges to patents and accusations of price gouging. But it appears they are armed and ready to continue their fight, according to a global IP data survey of those industries.

A large percentage of chief IP counsel have seen an increase in their department budget and a sizable increase in staff over the past year, according to the survey, conducted by executive event organizer Consero Group. In fact, 68 percent believe they have enough resources to manage their department.
