Concerned about wage theft, left-leaning members of Congress are pushing legislation that would require employers to provide more detailed pay stubs to low-wage workers. If the bill passes, employers that don’t comply will be vulnerable to class action litigation.

According to a March 3 press release, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., has introduce in the U.S. Senate the Pay Stub Disclosure Act. Companion legislation has already been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives.
