Google Inc. is the latest tech company to get hit with a privacy class action over its use of facial scanning technology.
In a complaint filed on March 1, Illinois resident Lindabeth Rivera alleges that Google unlawfully collects and stores “face templates,” or “face prints,” of individuals without their consent. Rivera’s lawyers filed the case in U.S. District Court in Chicago.
