The former general counsel of VO Financial Corp. pleaded guilty Wednesday to obstructing justice in a federal probe of a mail and wire fraud conspiracy involving a $2.4 million timeshare scam.
Ex-GC Joshua Gayl, 36, was accused of misleading one trial witness, helping defendants send refunds to other witnesses in hopes of influencing their testimony, and lying to prosecutors about an altered tape recording.
