It took almost 40 years, but Europe’s Unified Patent Court finally seems close to becoming a reality.
The new court, which is expected to launch by mid-2017, will serve as a single patent court covering 25 countries and more than 400 million people. It could mean big changes not only for Europe, but for U.S. patent litigation and corporations doing business around the globe.
