The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is serious about getting tough on individuals. Today it announced two cease-and-desist actions in unrelated financial fraud cases that also penalized five corporate executives and an outside accountant.
In its case against Logitech International, the Swiss-based technology manufacturer agreed to pay $7.5 million for inflating its 2011 financial results and committing other accounting violations over five years. Its headquarters for the Americas region is in California.
