Less than two months after its U.S. division agreed to a record-setting settlement under federal anti-kickback laws, Olympus Corp. has promoted the top lawyer and top compliance officer at the U.S. division.

The Tokyo-based endoscope maker announced on Monday that Donna Miller will take over as global general counsel, a promotion from her current role as general counsel at Olympus Corp. of America (OCA), the company’s U.S. unit. And Caroline West has been promoted from her role as chief compliance officer of OCA to global chief compliance officer.
