Start spreading the news … New York, New York is surging in popularity as a venue for international arbitration, according to Global Legal Post.

The Big Apple has replaced Zurich as the fifth top contender in the race for international arbitrations. It joins the ranks of Paris, London, Geneva and Singapore for this honor. The International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce opened its doors in New York just two years ago and since then has seen close to half of all arbitrations conducted in the U.S., says Global Legal Post. What’s more, since New York became a venue option, there has been a 30 percent rise in North American parties arbitrating their disputes.
