The amount of trademark litigation filed each year in the U.S. has remained fairly steady over time, but the Central District of California, the Southern District of New York and the Southern District of Florida were the most popular districts for trademark lawsuits from January 2009 through March of this year, according to a new report.
Legal analytics company Lex Machina has released its 2016 Trademark Litigation Report, the company’s second annual trademark study of key metrics, including filings, findings, remedies and damages in trademark cases. The data covers cases pending from 2009 through the first quarter of 2016.
