When managing a company’s litigation, an in-house counsel needs to prepare for the “curve ball,” such as a recently discovered email contradicting counsel’s approach to the case or changing the financial risk assessment.
That advice comes from Lanny Schimmel, general counsel of the Irish food company Kerry Group/North America. He will be part of the May 26 Corporate Litigation Executive Roundtable in Chicago, sponsored by the Consero Group. The conference features such panels as “Internal Investigations: From Crisis Management to Cultural Change,” which Schimmel is on.
