CNN America Inc. has spoken out against the National Labor Relations Board’s application of its joint employer standard, which was revised in August 2015 to make it easier to hold companies liable for the labor and employment law violations of partner organizations, including subcontractors, subsidiaries and franchisees.

In CNN’s reply brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, where the media company is challenging an adverse NLRB decision, CNN slams the board’s finding that it is a joint employer with a former subcontractor.
