For the last 22 years, the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University Law School has educated the nation’s board members about corporate governance through its annual Directors’ College.

This year marked the end of an era for the College. Sy Lorne, governance guru and a long-standing planner of the conference, announced he was taking a step back from his work in planning the conference to focus on his day job as Chief Legal Officer for Millennium Management LLC. Competing with the hometown Warriors final game in the NBA series, the conference began on Sunday, June 19, with a nice sendoff for Sy with the Rock Center’s all-star team, including Joe Grundfest, Amanda Packel, Evan Epstein, David Larcker and Dan Siciliano.
