Retail giant Target announced today that Don Liu has been tapped to serve as the company’s executive vice president, chief legal officer and general counsel. Liu, who steps into his new role on Aug. 22, will oversee all legal, corporate governance and government affairs matters for the company.

Liu comes to Target from Xerox, where he served as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Before that, he held executive positions at Toll Brothers, document services company IKON Office Solutions and Aetna U.S. Healthcare.
