Hoping to chart a new course for Argentina as an economic leader in Latin America, the country’s new administration is grappling with painful increases in inflation and unemployment brought about largely by the transition back to a free market economy.
Yet attorneys who work with investors are surprised at the speed and vigor with which business people are returning to Argentina, considering that seven months ago it was a nation in default considered unattractive to business. The message that Argentina is sending out, together with the size of the market, has translated to huge interest from investors.
