After a stint at a law firm, veteran general counsel Darryl Marsch is heading back in-house. For his next act, he’ll be helping the Dallas-based restaurant chain Wingstop transition to life as a public company.

Wingstop, which operates more than 900 restaurants across the world, announced on July 29 the appointment of Marsch as its new senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. He comes to the fast-growing chain from the law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, where he served as of counsel for 10 months. Prior to that, he was the top lawyer at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, which hires Womble Carlyle for legal work.
