The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is asking stakeholders to weigh in on the hot topic of how public companies disclose data about how much their executive officers and directors are compensated.

The request, published in the Federal Register this week, asks for comments on Subpart 400 of Regulation S-K, which articulates certain requirements for disclosure that apply to many filings that companies submit to the commission, including annual 10-K reports.
