Michael Kors Inc. announced on Friday that Krista McDonough has been promoted to senior vice president and general counsel. McDonough will replace longtime Michael Kors GC Lee Sporn, who has been at the helm of the legal department for 13 years.

McDonough has been with the global luxury brand since 2011. She began as assistant general counsel, was swiftly promoted to associate general counsel and then promoted again to deputy general counsel in 2015. Prior to working at Michael Kors, McDonough was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She graduated from New York Law School in 2005.
