A new survey suggests that cybersecurity insurance is a must-have item for companies.
The nonprofit RIMS polled 270 risk management professionals for its annual report, released on Monday. Eighty percent of respondents said their organizations had purchased stand-alone cybersecurity insurance, a 29 percent increase since a year ago. Meanwhile, those transferring cyber risk to a third party was up about 10 percent from 2015.
